28th Annual John's Pass Seafood Festival
MADEIRA BEACH, FL - For over a quarter-century, John’s Pass Village and Boardwalk has offered festivities for the whole family at the annual Seafood Festival. Dedicated to Fishermen Lost at Sea, this year’s 28th Annual event will take place on Saturday, October 24 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday, October 25 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Admission to the event is free.
 
The many features of the event include a juried Arts & Crafts Show with more than 50 local and regional artists, tons of fresh local seafood, more than 150 unique shops, live music, a street dance in the village, a fishing expo, and a children’s area.. A children’s Halloween costume contest will take place on Saturday at 3 p.m. and trick or treating will take place throughout the hours of the event. All costume contest participants will receive a prize.  Florida Blood Services will also be on site to collect donations.
Parking for the festival is available both in John’s Pass Village and Boardwalk and off-site. The convenient, 325-space parking structure is easily accessible from the 129th and 131st Avenue entrances to the Village.  Free additional parking is available at Madeira Beach Middle School with free shuttle service, 9am-9pm to and from John’s Pass Village.
The Seafood Festival is organized by the John’s Pass Village Association.

RE: 28th ANNUAL JOHN’S PASS SEAFOOD FESTIVAL,  OCTOBER 24 & 25, 2009

HOURS:  SATURDAY 10AM-8PM and SUNDAY  10AM-6PM

For this 28th year, restaurants outside of John’s Pass are being invited to participate in Seafood Festival. 

Space for this very prestigious event will be extremely limited and will be allocated strictly on a, FIRST COME FIRST SERVE basis.  Therefore, we urge you to reserve your space .

There will be a fee (see PAGE 3) TO PARTICIPATE PLUS A 30/70 SPLIT OF ALL FUNDS RECEIVED.  We will provide you with a tent and two (2) tables.  All sales will be handled through tickets and they are to be turned in at a designated day and time after the event to receive 70% return.

This is a “SEAFOOD” FESTIVAL.  Therefore, your food menu must be 90% seafood items to be considered for participation.

If you wish to participate, please return the enclosed application to the Village Association as soon as possible.

REMEMBER – Space is extremely limited so please make your reservations right away.

** $125 non-refundable set up fee includes both days.  Space size is limited to 10’ x 10’. Electricity is not available.

Application DEADLINE is October 1, 2009.  Once the application is approved, spaces will be assigned on a first come first serve basis. Set up begins at 6am on Saturday, October 24th. Cars must be moved and set up completed by 9:45am.

Display Guidelines: All booths must be Handmade & High Quality


Event hours are 10am to 8pm on Saturday and 10am to 6pm on Sunday.
Each Vendor will be responsible for their own Taxes and Insurance.

John's Pass Seafood Festival Sponsorship Information

Don’t delay! The sooner sponsorships are confirmed, the sooner the Association can promote your contribution or service on the John’s Pass Festivals Web site and in pre-event announcements.

Let us know your budget and target audience and we will work with you to identify or create a sponsorship opportunity that will ensure high visibility before, during, and after the event.

For cash sponsorships: Applications submitted before September 25, 2009, will be invoiced. Full payment is due upon receipt of invoice. Applications submitted on or after September 25, 2009, must be accompanied by full payment. Contracts and full payment must be received before October 5, 2009, to be included in the printed version of the program. Cancellations must be received in writing to the Association prior to September 25, 2009, to receive a refund less 30% of the sponsorship fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations on or after September 25, 2009.

For non-cash sponsorships: The Association will work with the sponsor to assess the value of the service in accordance with the Sponsor Recognition Program. See the Sponsorship Recognition Program for examples of products, or services available for sponsorship.
